It's the Super Bowl tomorrow, which means movie fans can look forward to plenty of expensive TV spots for some of Hollywood's big upcoming releases, but if you can't wait that long or don't fancy sitting through hours of American Football then several have already started popping up online; here's one for 3 Days to Kill, the upcoming thriller from director McG (Charlie's Angels) and starring Kevin Costner (Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit), Amber Heard (Machete Kills), Hailee Steinfeld (Ender's Game) and Connie Nielsen (Nymphomaniac).

In this heart pounding action-thriller, Kevin Costner is a dangerous international spy, who is determined to give up his high stakes life to finally build a closer relationship with his estranged wife and daughter, whom he's previously kept at arm's length to keep out of danger. But first, he must complete one last mission- even if it means juggling the two toughest assignments yet: hunting down the world's most ruthless terrorist and looking after his teenage daughter for the first time in ten years, while his wife is out of town.

This Sunday, the Seattle Seahawks will take on the Denver Broncos in the biggest football game of the season, and while we all expect a lot of the Super Bowl coverage to focus on star quarterbacks Peyton Manning and Russell Wilson, someone we might not expect to see more than once is Kevin Costner, who not only has a spot for his upcoming inside football drama Draft Day, but also for McG's high-stakes action flick 3 Days to Kill. And you can watch that super-expensive 30-second spot above, in which Costner's Ethan Runner puts his grimmest face forward in shutting down both terrorists and the confidence of his daughter's new boyfriend.

The screenplay comes from the explosive imagination of Luc Besson, along with co-writer Adi Hasak, and luckily features a short conversation about football, making it nearly as relevant to the game as Costner's other film. It should get soccer-hating U.S. viewers laughing, as Runner gruffly implies that the more global sport is not representative of "real football." Zing! And you can tell he's not joking because he doesn't smile. Ever.

This clip doesn't dig into the details of the film's plot at all, instead choosing to lay it all out as "Runner vs. Everyone Else." Our main man is an international spy who wants out, but of course has one more complicated mission to go on. After being injected with a mysterious concoction, he's told that he has three days to catch one of the most dangerous men on Earth, or he will die. On the flip side, he also wants to reconnect with his estranged daughter (Hailee Steinfeld), and is taking care of her for the first time in ages, all while he's hunting down the bad guys. I hope that boyfriend of hers has some thick skin.

Will this role reinvent Costner as a badass, Liam Neeson-style? Find out whenever 3 Days to Kill zooms its way into theaters on February 21. Below you'll find the film's full trailer, and don't forget that even if you're not in front of a TV, Fox will be streaming the Super Bowl and all of its highly anticipated commercials on their website, just in case you happen to be out T-boning a terrorist's car by the time the game starts.

The upcoming action-thriller 3 Days to Kill stars Kevin Costner as an international spy who is trying to complete one last mission while also looking after his estranged teenage daughter (Hailee Steinfeld). McG (Charlie's Angels, Terminator Salvation) directs with action legend Luc Besson serving as producer. We're stoked to debut these five exclusive photos of Amber Heard, who plays the film's femme fatale.

In 3 Days to Kill, Kevin Costner stars as a legendary but reluctant "cleaner" who faces a choice: Kill or die. In response becomes a one man wrecking machine, showing super-slick action skills that we've never seen from the Academy Award-winning leading man. Those skills are very much on display in a brief new trailer for Relativity Media's unique action-thriller.  Plus, since it's an international trailer, you can bone up on your French while enjoying a cavalcade of blistering, explosive imagery.

Costner stars as Ethan Runner, who is eager to retire from his life of espionage and assassination in order to spend more quality time with his daughter.  When he's diagnosed with a terminal illness, though, Runner is lured back into service in exchange for a dose of an experimental and highly unstable drug that could very well save his life.  Once its in his system, the drug's hallucinatory effects complicate his all-important final mission.

While it zips by quickly, this 3 Days to Kill international trailer nicely sets up the premise, as well as Runner's relationships with the women in his life.  Amber Heard (The Rum Diary, Paranoia) makes a big impression as the mysterious femme-fatale offering him a cure.  Oscar-nominated Hailee Steinfeld (True Grit, Ender's Game) plays his daughter, with Connie Neilsen (Gladiator) as her mother.

Costner has been making a big impression lately.  Last year, he brought gravitas to the role of Jonathan Kent in Man of Steel, and he kicked off 2014 with a badass supporting turn in Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit.  He keeps the hot streak going in March with Draft Day. Before getting into NFL football in that film, however, he lays waste to plenty of henchmen in 3 Days to Kill.  The film is the latest from director McG, who made himself a household name with stylish and self-aware movies such as Charlie's Angels and This Means War.  Everything we've seen from 3 Days to Kill indicates that he has taken a refreshingly practical approach, producing a high-velocity, high-impact feel that is rare in contemporary action cinema.

Written by Adi Hasak and Luc Besson (director of The Professional, The Fifth Element, and La Femme Nikita), the film is part of collaboration between Relativity Media and Besson's EuropaCorp, a co-financing and distributing plan designed to bring spectacular and unique films to both domestic and international audiences.  Relativity CEO Ryan Kavanaugh and president Tucker Tooley serve as producer and executive producer, respectively.
